Learn all about amazing insects at Bloomington's 11th annual Bug Fest! Check out cool insects, make a craft, participate in bug-themed activities, and much more. Exhibitors will share and display their knowledge on a variety of buggy topics. 

Note: Sales are Not permitted at Bug Fest outside of the permitted Food Trucks

Schedule of Events:

11 a.m - Noon: WildCare Inc. - Education Ambassadors are non-releasable permanent resident animals who have the important job of teaching the public about the importance of conservation and respect for wildlife!

11 a.m - 12:30 p.m: Music by Josh Huey

11 a.m - 2 p.m: Face painting

12:30 - 1 p.m: Storytellers from the Bloomington Storytellers' Guild will entertain children with exciting, insect-themed stories - plus puppets!

1:30 - 2 p.m: Build a Bug! Learn about arthropod anatomy by dressing up like the crawlies themselves. WonderLab will explain the differences between spiders and insects. Explore basic insect, arachnid, and isopod body plans through dynamic role playing!

Food Drive: We will be hosting a food drive for the Hoosier Hills Food Bank. A canned fruit and/or vegetable donation is appreciated, remember, most are pollinated by insects!
