Composer Jonathan Dove and librettist April De Angelis take inspiration from the true story of a refugee who lived at the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, unable to leave for 18 years. Later turned into the film The Terminal by Steven Spielberg, Flight explores a day-in-the-life snapshot filled with all of the drama, intrigue, and passion found in complicated human relationships.

Keith Lockhart conducts the music of Wynton Marsalis in this momentous capstone concert of an extraordinary weeklong residency. Tai Murray makes her Brevard debut in Wynton's jazzy, bluesy Violin Concerto, a tour de force for orchestra and soloist. Then, Wynton and the JLCO join with Lockhart and the BMCO for Marsalis's masterwork "The Jungle," inspired by the fluid, pressure-packed, and cosmopolitan metropolis of New York City.
