Building on his Friday keynote address, Rev. Andrew Lazo will explore, in greater detail, C.S. Lewis’s last—and arguably most important—novel!

Session II: 10:30 - 11:30AM
The Story Within the Story: Exploring Spiritual Truths in The Chronicles of Narnia with
Dr. Christin Ditchfield Lazo

Discover how C.S. Lewis came to write one of the most popular fantasy/fairy tale series of all time and learn more about what he called “the story within the story” — the powerful, life-changing truths that spill from nearly every scene, every page.

Session III: 12:30 - 1:30PM
The Art, Craft, and Ethics of Biography, a pre-recorded interview with Abigail Santamaria & Sarah Arthur (Plus Live Q&A)

What goes into researching and writing a life? What unique challenges do biographers face when writing about beloved figures? How do they decide what to include or exclude when confronted with unflattering facts and anecdotes? How do they navigate their own biases while interpreting their subjects’ work, relationships, and choices? Sarah Arthur interviews Abigail Santamaria about her experience as biographer of Joy Davidman—the woman who captivated C.S. Lewis—and Madeleine L’Engle, beloved author of the Newbery-winning A Wrinkle in Time.

Session IV: 1:45 - 2:45PM
It’s in Till We Have Faces: Bless me, what do they teach them at these schools? A Pints with Jack podcast recording with Co-hosts David Bates & Reverend Andrew Lazo
