Introducing the newly-branded CAPITAL 10: 10-Miler & 10K – A Run for the Arts! This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Capital 10-Miler, and we’re thrilled to announce an exciting addition: a 10K course, a feature our community has been asking for! Rebranded as the CAPITAL 10: 10-Miler & 10K – A Run for the Arts, this beloved race continues to support numerous area arts organizations while expanding opportunities for runners of all levels.
We invite you to join CAPITAL 10: 10-Miler & 10K – A Run for the Arts. The in-person race is Saturday, April 5, 2025. Virtual running is also available!
The race will start and finish on City Island, winding through some of the most scenic routes in the area, including the riverfront, the Capital Area Greenbelt, and the iconic bridges over the Susquehanna River.
“Each year, the race attracts tremendous interest,” says Brad Garfinkle, race director. “On average, 600 runners register annually, and we expect to see even more this year with the addition of the 10K.”
The Capital 10 has drawn participants from across the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions, while remaining a favorite among local and regional runners. Whether you're here to set a personal best or enjoy the scenic course with friends, this event celebrates the arts, fitness, and our vibrant community.
Administered by Open Stage, a not-for-profit professional regional theatre, the CAPITAL 10 is more than a race—it’s a way to make a difference. Proceeds benefit vital arts organizations that enrich our region. Join us this year for the CAPITAL 10: 10-Miler & 10K and be part of a legacy that celebrates fitness, community, and the arts.
