10:00 am – 5:00 pm: Holiday Cultural Trees Exhibit

A holiday favorite returns to The Durham’s galleries during Christmas at Union Station. The exhibition is one of the enduring fixtures of the season and showcases how cultures from around the world celebrate the holiday season. Each tree is decorated by a local Omaha ethnic society and is accompanied by interpretative text explaining the meaning behind the various decorations and unique traditions of each culture.

4:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Tree Lighting Ceremony

(Tree Lighting at approximately 7PM)The Christmas at Union Station festivities begin with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Enjoy loads of entertainment including cookie decorating and holiday crafts at the David M. Mangelsen’s Craft Corner, live music, plus Santa himself! All the good tidings and cheer lead up to the signature tradition of the night: the community countdown to lighting the region’s largest indoor Christmas tree!

Durham Members, show your active membership card to enjoy expedited entry to our signature events, including the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Entry will be available on the main and lower levels.
