City of Summerville Celebrate Independence Festivities and Fireworks Show

This long time family affair and one of the best fireworks shows in northwest Georgia offers loads of music, food, free watermelon slices, and fun! A wide variety of food vendors will be ready to serve patrons under the covered arena 6-9:45PM. A free "Kids Zone" with face painting, games, waterslides and bounce houses is offered from 6-9 PM. Children dressed in patriotic attire will be invited to participate in a "Patriotic Foot Parade" at 7:15 PM. The traditional Cornhole Tournament for teams of 2 will be offered at the covered arena. Team registration will run from 6PM-6:30PM. The registration fee is set at $20 per team, with the winning team taking 60% of the pot and second place team taking 40%. Featured Musical entertainment, The Whole Fam Damily, will take the stage at 7:30 PM. This quartet of siblings will harmonize and have the crowd reminiscing and singing along with every song. At 10 PM the City of Summerville is set to end the evening with a spectacular fireworks show. It is suggested to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating and arrive early, as parking and seating is limited.
