Every year, the City of Bettendorf hosts a 4th of July Celebration on July 4 which includes a day full of festivities: a PARADE in Downtown Bettendorf, a FESTIVAL on Spruce Hills Drive in front of Cumberland Square, and a FIREWORKS SHOW in Middle Park.

10 a.m.: 4th of July Parade
Parade Grand Marshal
If you know someone who has made significant contributions to the quality of life in the City of Bettendorf – in civic or social services, humanitarianism, or through personal achievements such as athletics or the arts – please nominate them to be this year’s Grand Marshal. Nominees must be a current resident, a long-time past resident, or have brought some distinction to the City. Nominations can be mailed to Community Engagement Manager Angie Sharp at City Hall, 1609 State Street or emailed to [email protected]. The deadline for nominations is Monday, May 26.
Parade Route
The procession begins at the intersection of 23rd Street and State Street and will go east on State Street, curve around to Grant Street, west on Grant Street to 16th Street, turning south on 16th Street, east on State Street, and ends at 21st Street.

Noon - 10 p.m.: 4th of July Festival at Spruce Hills Drive
Bring your family and friends to the 2025 4th of July Festival, which will be held on Friday, July 4 from noon - 10 p.m. on Spruce Hills Drive in front of Cumberland Square!
Mayor Gallagher and City Council will serve FREE ICE CREAM at the Hospitality Tent from noon until 2 p.m.

Noon - 5 p.m.: FAMILY-FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES
Miller's Petting Zoo, Miller's Zoo Choo Train, Jumpin Joey's inflatable obstacle courses, water slides, bounce houses, and games, & T.J. Regul - The Quad City Magician
The Optimist Club will hold its ANNUAL KIDS FISHING DERBY from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at nearby Middle Park Lagoon, 2220 23rd Street.
