Every summer, Classical Tahoe brings four weeks of world-class jazz and classical music performance to the beautiful campus of the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe in Incline Village.

5:00 pm and 7:00 pm: Ron and Maureen Ashley Oasis Chamber Music Series: Beethoven and Brahms

Immerse yourself in an unforgettable evening at the first performance of the 2025 Ron and Maureen Ashley Chamber Music series. Beethoven's delightful Flute Serenade uses the unusual combination of flute, violin, and viola, with the viola serving as the bass instrument in this sunny classical work. The concert concludes with Brahms' sublime String Quintet in G Major, Op. 111, a so-called "viola quintet" since the ensemble features two violas. Less well-known than his two string sextets, this sumptuous work represents Brahms' late period at its finest. Tickets for this concert include a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception.
