The Crape Myrtle Capital of Texas will be in full-bloom and ready to celebrate Independence Day with the 27th Annual Crape Myrtle Festival and Parade. The Crape Myrtle Festival is FREE to the public. The patriotic celebration will begin on Thursday, July 3, at 6 p.m. at the Waxahachie Sports Complex located at 151 Broadhead Rd.

This year, guests will enjoy a concert at 7:30 p.m. by Big City Outlaws - the hottest country-rock-pop party band in Texas! The spectacular H-E-B and City of Waxahachie fireworks display will begin at 9:15 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to tune their radio to KBEC 1390/99.1 during the fireworks show for a special simulcast of patriotic music choreographed to the fireworks. Lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are allowed at the Waxahachie Sports Complex; however, personal fireworks are prohibited.
