Residents are invited to celebrate our nation’s independence on Friday, July 4 with a patriotic stroll along South Street to the Town Green beginning at 5:30 p.m. from the Davidson Town Hall and Community Center, followed by a Concert on the Green at 6:00 p.m. The stroll will include a color guard, Davidson fire engine, and  members of our community!

"This is a great way for our entire community to come together and show our Davidson spirit," said Community and Economic Development Director Kim Fleming. 

"We hope to see neighbors from all over Town -- from Davidson Pointe to Davidson Landing to Summers Walk -- strolling from the Town Hall and Community Center to the Town Green for the concert," said Fleming.

Schedule of events

5:10 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. - Street Closures Cathey Street / South Street 

5:15 p.m. - Line up at Davidson Town Hall and Community Center (251 South Street)

5:30 p.m. - Patriotic Stroll commences, led by Town of Davidson DPD and DFD Color Guard

6:00 p.m. - Concert on the Green with Buffett and Beyond (119 Main Street)
