Undesirable Secrets tells the extraordinary true story of Anthony C. Acevedo—a WWII medic, former POW, and the first Mexican American registered as a Holocaust survivor. Anthony was born, raised, and lived in California his entire life, yet his story remains widely unknown. Captured during the Battle of the Bulge, he was one of 350 American soldiers—many of them Jewish—sent to Berga, a Nazi slave labor camp. For 63 years, he kept the experience a secret under orders from the U.S. Army. In the final years of his life, he broke his silence.
