The City of Ely's 4th of July Parade will be on Fri-day, July 4th at 1 p.m. Line up starts at 10 a.m. on 4th Ave from Harvey Street to Boundary Street including the Ice Arena Parking lot and the green space. If you are participating in the parade please enter the lineup area at 4th Ave and Boundary Street we will have pa-rade workers to direct you to your line up spot.
Please call City Hall, Clerk's Office at 218-365-3224 ext. 1 to sign up to be in the parade. We will have judging on the following categories, Commercial, Non Commercial, and Most Patriotic. Judging 10am-Noon.
There will be ribbons & prizes awarded for kids en-tering the parade with decorated bikes, trikes, wag-ons, costumes, etc. Judging will be at 12:30 p.m.
NEW ROUTE: Harvey Street is under construction.
Parade starts at 4th Ave East and turns west on Chap-man Street to 2nd Ave East and then over to and down Sheridan St, ending at 8th Ave (Whiteside Park).

VETERANS WANTED to ride in the parade; a chair lift is available for those that may need assistance. Meet at corner of Fourth and Harvey under tent.

8 a.m. - Ely Track's Club "Ely 4 on the 4TH" 4 Mile Run & Walk at the Miner's Lake Trezona Trailhead.

Race day registration cash or check only 6:40-7:40 a.m. $30 entry fee. $40 after June 27.
Kids 12 & under free. Run starts 8 a.m.
Walk starts at 8:03 a.m. Kids Race (12 and under) 8:00 a.m.
Net profits from the race will go to support the Ely Track Club
10 a.m. Raising of the Flag at the Veterans Memorial
The Ely Legion and VFW Commanders along with the Ely Honor Guard will start the day with a short Patriotic Program.
