Celebrate Independence Day at George Washington’s boyhood home! Play colonial games, tour the Washington House, meet a George Washington reenactor, watch a flag retirement ceremony, talk with archaeologists around an active dig site, make crafts, hear music performed by Enduring Freedom Honor Team, explore different historical encamped military units,and much more.

Food trucks on-site to include Pop Pop’s Kettle Corn, Kona Ice, Hit the Spot Kitchen, and Taco Tuesday.
Flag retirement ceremony is at 1 pm.
Just "a George for George," $1.00 per person, ages 3 and up. Children 2 and under free.
Purchase tickets on-site, cash or credit card. No advance ticket sales.

Shuttles will run between the Eagles Lodge parking lot on Cool Springs Road and Ferry Farm, Patawomeck Museum & Cultural Center, and Fourth in Fredericksburg events.
Parking is at the Eagles lot and Patawomeck Museum & Cultural Center. Handicap parking only at Ferry Farm.

Event is rain or shine. No pets permitted on site at this event, excluding service dogs.  No coolers and no alcohol permitted.
