The Fall Colors Run at McCloud Nature Park is back for 2025! Run or walk a 5K or 10K course through the park

Enjoy the beautiful fall colors and the crisp air while running the trails at McCloud Nature Park.  Scenes will include forest, prairie, Big Walnut Creek, and the historic truss bridge!  After the professionally timed race, stick around for the McCloud Fall Colors Festival which includes food, archery, atlatls, hayride, prairie maze, games, and more for the whole family!

Fall Colors Festival 

Bring the family out to McCloud Nature Park and celebrate the brilliant colors of autumn with us!

Autumn is a beautiful time of year, and McCloud Nature Park bursts into colorful splendor in October and November every year. Because of the multitude of tree species found within the park, the wide variety of autumn colors lead McCloud Nature Park to be voted by the public through Visit Indiana as one of the best places for fall foliage in the state every year. The park was also cited by The Points Guy as one of the best places in the world to see beautiful fall foliage without the crowds.

As such, we celebrate the fabulous fall foliage every October with our fun, FREE, family-friendly Fall Colors Festival. We have 232 acres of natural beauty to explore while you’re here, including 7+ miles of trails, our historic truss bridge, the wetland boardwalk and observation deck, the McCloud Nature Center, and our McCloud Prairie Maze. 

We have hands-on activities for everyone to enjoy!
