Round up your friends and family for an unforgettable weekend at the Western Themed Fall on the Island Festival! Join us for two days of fun-filled activities, live entertainment, and a true taste of the Wild West right here on the island.

Schedule Of Events:

Noon - 5:00 pm - Saturday Entertainment
BlueSkye, the rising Michigan sensation, has already created an impressive catalog of over 20 diverse songs despite her young age... Optimistic and determined, BlueSkye firmly believes in manifesting her destiny: "I believe you are what you think. You will see me at the top of the charts someday!" With her unwavering spirit, it's clear that for her, The Skye’s The Limit.

10:00 am - 6:00 pm - Arts and Crafts Show
Join us for a day filled with creativity, unique handmade goodies, and a chance to support local artists. The annual arts and crafts show will be held at the Drummond Island  Elementary school. And guess what? A festival pass is not required to attend.

Noon - Cornhole Tournament
Get ready to test your tossing skills at our exciting cornhole tournament! Join us for a fun-filled competition where you prove you're "the boss of the toss." Don't miss out on the opportunity to win awesome prizes and have a great time with friends. $25 registration.  This is a three-game round robin followed by bracket play with double elimination. Registration details to come.

Drop off chili by 2:00 pm - Chili Cookoff
Channel your inner cowboy/girl by making a crockpot of chili to see if you have the best chili in the west. Start planning your recipe now. Chilis will be awarded in Red and White Chili categories. Judges will be scoring aroma, consistency, color, taste, and aftertaste.  Winners announced at 4:00 pm. Download the official rules and entry form below.

4:00 pm - Eating Contest
Get ready to put your appetite to the test. Join us for a mouthwatering showdown where you’ll be served a generous helping of Johnny's BBQ, complete with delicious sides. The challenge is simple: be the first to finish your hearty feast and claim the title of the eating champion! But don’t delay—this event is limited to the first 15 participants to register. Think you've got what it takes? Call DITA today to secure your spot and prepare for a contest with of food, friends, and fierce competition!

4:00 pm - Sourdough Bread Contest
Whether you're a seasoned sourdough artisan or a passionate home baker, this is your chance to showcase your delicious creations. Bring your homemade sourdough loaf to our venue and drop it off by 4:00 PM for a chance to win exciting prizes! Our panel of tasting judges will evaluate your bread based on taste, texture, and creativity. Winners will be announced at 5:30 PM.

Mechanical Bull Riding
Whether you’re a seasoned bull rider or a first-timer, this is your chance to test your skills and have a blast with friends and family. Feel the adrenaline rush as you hold on tight and try to stay on for as long as you can! Perfect for all ages. This addition to the festival promises laughter, friendly competition, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Axe Throwing
Get ready to unleash your inner lumberjack at the Fall on the Island Festival! Swing by the Half-Axed booth at the festival and see if you have what it takes to hit the bullseye! Enjoy fun, camaraderie, and a little friendly competition as you learn the art of throwing axes.

Western Attire Encouraged
Get ready to saddle up for a rootin’-tootin’ good time at the Western Themed Fall on the Island Festival! Dust off your cowboy boots and don your favorite western wear—whether it’s denim, plaid, or a stylish hat—because we’ll be awarding prizes for the best dressed attendees both Friday and Saturday!

Adults: $25  •  Child 11 & up: $10  •  Child 10 & under: Free
Includes entry to the festival on both Friday and Saturday.

Full-time residents of Drummond Island receive a special discount on  festival passes when purchased in advance at the Visitor Center.
