The Fayette Festival of the Arts, Always a much anticipated event, the festival has come to be regarded as the culminating summer celebration for the Fayette area, with activities taking place in and around the historitown square. The festival lineup, as in past years, will include performances from the Howard County Memorial Bandstand and from the courthouse lawn beginning at 9 am. There will be various kinds of music, craft demonstrations, vendors and a variety of food and beverages. In addition there will be a cake contest honoring the late Mary Jarboe whose Italian Cream cake was always a favorite, a classic car show and activities for youngsters.
