The Fertile Ground Festival of New Works is a citywide, multi-week performing arts festival taking place in venues throughout Portland, Oregon and the surrounding areas.

This year's lineup includes site specific theatre, dance, solo shows, aerial performance, puppetry, and dozens upon dozens of brand-new scripts by some of Portland's most celebrated and prolific playwrights.

Pen Pal: Having recently lost his wife, a former NYC building supervisor writes to an inmate during the pandemic lockdown for advice about living with the burden of loneliness.  Cast: Paul Rober

Now Are You Afraid of Me: A biographer, obsessed with the life of a notorious felon, is forced to confront his morally questionable motives when paying his subject an unwelcomed visit. Cast: Edward Lyons, Jr., and Joe Johnson
