Part celebration of spring's arrival, part fundraiser for UL Lafayette's Ira Nelson Horticulture Center, and part educational outreach and resource for the enhancement of horticulture in Acadiana, Festival des Fleurs de Louisiane just celebrated its 30th year!

Over 100 expected gardening-related vendors provide the show's main attraction. Festival-goers discover a wealth of resources and activities as local gardening societies host displays and informational kiosks that will share gardening techniques with attendees. Food trucks serve snacks, snow cones, and coffee, so bring the family and make a day of it!

Activities:
Plants and Gardening Related Products
As you’ve come to expect, the vendors of Festival des Fleurs will have a wide variety of native plants, shrubs, succulents, annuals, perennials, irises, roses, hibiscus, orchids, and more. Gardening items for sale include pottery, garden ironwork, wooden garden features, hanging baskets, tools, supplies, books, and bird feeders. Feel free to bring your cart or wagon for ease of shopping!

Fun and Educational Activities for Kids
Kids can get their hands dirty learning the basics of gardening in a planting demonstration with Ms. Alice (and take their plant home with them!), learn about bees and other pollinators with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, and then they can transform - via face paint - into a frog, fairy, bug, or butterfly (and more!) with Ms. Barbara.

Onsite Food Trucks for Lunch and Snacks
Hungry or thirsty but don’t want to leave? Food trucks Aww Shucks!, Southern Kreolé Cravings and Pastries, Nina Creole, and Sarrica’s Italian Pizza will be parked out front serving delicious food! And the Louisiana Bean will be back to serve coffee and lemonade all day! We are excited to partner with Louisiana Seafood to serve local seafood in our food truck lineup.
