What better way to kick off the New Year than by getting a jump start burning off those extra holiday calories in the great outdoors? First Day Hikes are part of a nationwide initiative led by America’s State Parks to encourage people to get outdoors. These hikes provide a means for individuals and families to welcome the coming year in the outdoors, exercising and connecting with nature. For many it has become a tradition.
Commemorative pins are available for participants while supplies last.
This year, join us for a 1.5-mile loop hike at Goddard Memorial State Park.
Leashed dogs are allowed if the leash is no longer than six feet. Stroller friendly walk along paved and gravel roads. An adult must always accompany children. The walk will be held rain or shine, please dress accordingly.
