Join the 1st Day Hike tradition taking place in State Parks nationwide. This family friendly hike takes place on New Year's Day at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. There is no better way to start the than an adventure out in your public lands.

Hike the Ash Grove Trail with ranger Kate. Take in beautiful views, experience the unique flora and fauna of the Mojave Desert.
Hike starts promptly at 9:30 am.

This hike is family friendly, but trail is not stroller friendly. Hike is open to all ages that can maneuver over uneven rocky ground, with some parts of the trail being sandy.
