Begin your year with a healthy dose of nature and start a new tradition at Stephen F. Austin State Park!
Join us for a guided First Day Hike through the park’s beautiful bottomland forest. This easy, 1- to 1.5-mile hike will take you through scenic landscapes, where you'll learn about the local flora, fauna, and the natural history of this unique Texas environment. Whether you're an experienced hiker or new to the outdoors, this hike is perfect for all ages and skill levels.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable hiking shoes
- Water
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Camera (for stunning nature shots!)
Special Feature: As a thank you for joining us, you will receive a First Day Hike Sticker to commemorate your adventure.
Cost: Included with daily entrance fee. Adults are $5 per person. Children 12 and under are free. Park admission is free with a Texas Parks Pass.
