First Day Hike 2025 - Greenbelt 428
Looking to start the New Year off right? Do it outdoors with a hike at the Greenbelt Unit!
Whether joining for one hike or all three hikes for the Tri-Park-A-Thon, we invite you to come celebrate the new year with some of your favorite rangers as we hit the trail. These programs will be a group hike with a moderate pace.

Greenbelt Unit - 1st Hike of Tri-Park-A-Thon
Meet: 428 Entrance in Aubrey, Picnic Day Use area. Look for the sign and Rangers
(GPS coordinates provided due to no physical address: 33.306711, -97.040070)
Trail: 2 miles on Coyote Run, a partially gravel and dirt trail - Trail rated Moderate
Who: All ages
Dogs are invited but must be on a secure leash (please no extendable leashes), up-to-date on vaccinations, and socialized around other people and dogs.
Bring: water, trail shoes, and dress for the weather.
Reminders: All ranger-led programs are subject to weather cancelations.

Attendance to this event is open to the public and free after regular entrance fees.
