This easy 0.5-mile mile trail is a great way to participate in the First Day Hike tradition. We will be learning about how wildlife survives the extremes of winter and participants are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal. This soft-surface trail has a narrow section that is not suitable for strollers. Recommended age 4+. Meet at the Sinking Stream Trailhead. Participants will receive a First Day Hike sticker! Before or after the hike, enjoy a hot beverage and s’mores around the campfire at the visitor center pavilion!
