Fourth of July Celebration at Mohonk Mountain House

Experience the Fourth of July like never before. A week full of activities for the whole family including a Fourth of July Parade, Fourth of July Carnival, Illumination of the Mountain & a Live Boat Dock Concert.

Mohonk Mountain House, 4th of July
Kids’ Club
9:30am – 12:30pm
We can get active outside with games of Capture the Flag or stay inside and make our very own flag. The fun doesn’t stop there, call for further details, ext. 2186 from a guest room phone. Ages 4-12, drop off program.

Brisk Morning Hike
10am
Brisk guided hike along Lake Shore Road, Long Woodland Drive, Humpty Dumpty Drive and Copes Lookout Road. 3 miles. Sneakers or hiking boots required. Ages 7 and up.

Archery
11am
Join us for to learn the basics of Archery with our skilled staff.
Limit 30. Sign up required-no earlier than 24 hours in advance. Please call 845-256-2186 to sign up. No late admittance. Ages 13 and up. Closed-toe shoes and masks are required.

Leisurely Afternoon Hike
2pm
Leisurely guided hike around the lake. 3 miles. Proper footwear is required, sneakers or boots, no flip-flops or sandals. Age 7 and up.

Kids’ Club
2pm – 3:30pm
Get set to get wet with hilarious water games! Bring clothes that can get wet and a good sense of humor, we’ll provide the towels. Ages 4-12, drop off program.

Archery
2pm

Tomahawk Throwing

Join us for some outdoor summer fun! This will be a hands-on lesson teaching you the basics of tomahawk throwing.

Kids’ Club: Tie-Dye
7pm – 8:30pm
Let’s get crafty and make some festive red, white, and blue tie-dye! We’ll have options of white cotton items to dye, or you can bring your own t-shirt or other white cotton piece to fully customize your creation. Ages 4-12 only, drop off program.

Reptile Encounters with Mark Perpetua
8:30pm
Have you ever heard a rattlesnake rattle? Did you know alligators have three eyelids? Meet these animals and more tonight with naturalist Mark Perpetua during an exciting Reptile Encounter. Mark will even wrap up with a giant python as he explains what makes reptiles such incredible survivors.

Evening Campfire, Marshmallows, and Music
9pm – 10pm
Join local musician Vickie Obermeyer for an evening of family fun and songs by the campfire with roasting a delicious marshmallow treat!
