Fourth of July Fireworks Over Yaquina Bay
Newport’s annual fireworks display over Yaquina Bay returns on the evening of July 4. Beginning at dusk, large mortar rounds are launched over the water, lighting up the sky with color and sound. The show is visible from various points around town and draws spectators from across the area.
Viewing Locations
Several public spots provide clear views of the fireworks:
Yaquina Bay State Recreation Site – A grassy park area with beach access, located near the base of the Yaquina Bay Bridge.
Under the Yaquina Bay Bridge – Offers a distinct view of the fireworks with the bridge overhead.
SW Bay Boulevard – The Bayfront waterfront provides open space for viewing.
Abbey Street Pier – Located along the Bayfront, this pier is a popular viewing point.
The Embarcadero Resort Hotel and Marina – Guests at the hotel can view the fireworks from rooms facing the bay.
