The parade will begin lining up behind the Gillespie County Courthouse at 8:00 a.m. The parade proceeds east on Main Street to the intersection of Main and Washington Street. It will U-turn there and go west to Bowie Street. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or park a vehicle along the route to enjoy the parade.

Anyone interested in participating in the parade or becoming involved with the planning is encouraged to contact [email protected] for more information.

Originally started in 1991 by a group of community-minded friends, this small-town patriotic parade has grown over the years to be loved by many. The parade begins promptly at 10 a.m. on July 4th, and heads east on Main Street to the Nimitz Museum. It then makes a U-turn and goes west on Main all the way to Bowie Street.

Come out and join us for this great Fredericksburg Fourth of July tradition. Every entry is decorated with red, white, and blue. Bring your lawn chairs for a great seat along Main Street or use the tailgate of your pick-up to enjoy. Or, if you would like to enter the parade, please click on the link above for the entry form once available.
