Various Venues In Genoa

The University of Illinois Extension and DeKalb County Forest Preserve offers this free event for families to get outside, have fun, and explore an enjoyable destination.

Master Naturalist Anne Shult will present in the River Room on how you can take part in observing and reporting nature.

Some activities include a nature wisdom hike to find clues and solve a puzzle, a digital scavenger hunt, crafts, face painting, and a fun, game show-like presentation of species survival strategies for winter. There is a campfire cooking and tasting at the end of the day.

Snacks and lunch will be available to purchase from Genoa Prairie Gems 4-H Club. Dress for the weather since there are outdoor activities.

For questions or reasonable accommodation to participate, please call Marian Termini, Program Coordinator, University of Illinois Extension at 815-784-2000 or email [email protected].
