The Georgia Veterans Day Association honors the service of all Veterans from all branches during peace and war. Each year, the GVDA selects one group of Veterans to pay special honors to.  Our Official Theme for 2024 is: "Honoring our Airborne & Special Operations Forces" and our events will provide opportunities to learn more about these amazing men and women who have served our nation."

11am: Veterans Day Parade

43rd Annual Georgia Veterans Day Parade

We are truly excited to present the 43rd Annual Georgia Veterans Day Parade in Midtown Atlanta.  This popular parade route is located on the iconic Peacthtree Street.  There are plenty of parking options, convenient MARTA stations, and plenty of amazing restaurants to enjoy after the parade.  This will be THE destination for all citizens to come together and honor our Veterans and Active-Duty Military.

We encourage everyone to attend the Veterans Day Parade and help us line the streets to show our support for our military men and women.

Location: Midtown Atlanta - Peachtree Street from 15th to 5th Street

9:30am: Observance Ceremony

The 2024 Georgia Veterans Day Observance Ceremony will take place at the Woodruff Arts Center in Midtown Atlanta prior to the Veterans Day Parade on 9 November 2024.

This hour-long event will include military and Veteran speakers to honor our Nation's men and women in uniform.

Location: Azadi Galleria at the Woodruff Arts Center in Midtown Atlanta

9:00am - 1:00pm: Veterans Day Expo

The 2024 Veterans Day Expo will take place in Midtown Atlanta.  In addition to over 40 exhibits from Veterans Service Organizations, we will have equipment displays from The National Infantry Museum.  This is a family friendly event and free and open to the public.

6:00 pm - 10:30 pm: Freedom Ball

Location: Oceans Ballroom at the Georgia Aquarium
