This year Sister to Sister Gospel Fest and Laugh Fest will partnership to bring Gilda’s Club slogan of -Learn, Share, Laugh. It will take place on Thursday March 6 from 6 until 8 p.m., There is ample parking available at the church. We will learn of those who are on a cancer/grief journey, will share in song through several local gospel groups and join in laughter with clean comedian Lena Green.

Lena Green

Lena is a graduate of the University of Michigan; she received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and her Master’s Degree in Human Performance Improvement and Instructional Design. Subsequently, her manifold educational and cultural experiences contribute to the diverse, insightful, yet expletive free Christian based performances.   

The Flint, Michigan native has performed on a multitude of stages in front of varied age, racial, and social groups.   Comedy is one of the very special and universal gifts that Lena offers to us all, however, her gifts extend far beyond those gifts that she presents on the comedy stage.  She is also a speaker, actress, writer, director, and educator.  She has written and directed three plays and a one-woman-show and as a result of her comedic talents was asked to appear as a guest lecturer at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
