6:30 PM : Coombs Ukulele Club Performance
Coombs Ukulele Club offers ukulele lessons to Coombs Outdoor participants once a week for the duration of the summer, followed by this public performance. Coombs Outdoors and GTMF have partnered to create access to music lessons and opportunities for Coombs Outdoors participants. The two local nonprofits have worked together to launch a summer-long program, the Coombs Ukulele Club, that offers ukulele lessons to Coombs participants once a week for the duration of the summer, followed by a public performance

Detlev Glanert: Weites Land
Brahms: Violin Concerto
Brahms: Symphony No. 4
Maestro Runnicles’ multi-season exploration of the symphonies of Brahms continues with No. 4 and another evocative companion work by Detlev Glanert. Longtime GTMF friend James Ehnes completes this Brahms program with the violin concerto, an expansive symphony in its own right. This concert will be recorded for future release on Reference Recordings.
Join us for a pre-concert talk at 6 PM with Stoner Family Education Curator Meaghan Heinrich in the Barbara Furrer Goodman Memorial Garden near Walk Festival Hall’s north entrance. Talks are sponsored by the Goodman Family Foundation, in memory of Roy and Barbara Goodman.
