This fan favorite is back for another year! This road race takes place after dark under the street lights of downtown Greensboro!  The out and back course is well lit and a great way to get in a summer race without the heat of sun beating down you!  After the race, we welcome you to join us at our very own speakeasy featuring jazz music and cocktails made with the award-winning alcohol from Fainting Goat Spirits or a cold brew by your favorite SouthEnd Brewing!

This run has a fun, laid back atmosphere with awesome custom medals, and awards.  This is a great opportunity to run a PR or just have a night out with friends!

6:30 PM - 8:45 PM - Packet Pick-up and Registration
9:00 PM - Race Start
10:00 PM (approximately) - Awards
10:15 PM - Course closes

Course Info:

The Speakeasy 5K takes places on roads on the southside of Greensboro using well lit, and well paved roads.  This nighttime road 5K is perfect in the summer as the days heat begins to bleed off.  The course is USATF certified (course map linked below).  While not flat, it is not overly challenging.  Athletes will have coned lanes when on busy roads, and full use of the roads on side streets.  The course is extremely well marked, managed by several volunteers and police at every intersection!  Racing fast, or going for a 5K walk, this is an awesome race course!

This 5k is chip timed by Trivium Racing. 

Awards to the top 3 overall males and top 3 overall females. Awards to the top 3 males and females in the following age groups: 14 and under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.
