Love’s Labour’s Lost

by William Shakespeare

Four gentlemen vow to renounce all worldly delights, trading their grand balls for study halls and courtship for a celibate life. But their scholarly seclusion is swiftly upended by a quartet of aristocratic ladies waltzing into the royal garden to sweep them off their feet. Faced with temptation, the lords swiftly discover that repressing desire isn’t as easy as it seems. This summer, Shakespeare’s intoxicating wit meets Bridgerton’s spicy society drama in Indie Shakes’ lush, bawdy, and bittersweet romantic comedy. Free in Griffith Park.

Children are most welcome at the Festival! But performances are not edited or changed for children. Shakespeare wrote about the human experience, and his plays include examples of sexuality and violence, and deal with adult themes. Email us and we'll be happy to answer any specific questions you may have about this performance.
