The Grindstone Festival is Berea’s signature Fourth of July celebration. This one-day event includes activities for all ages. There are paddleboat rides on Coe Lake, live entertainment with band concerts, inflatables and food vendors. A spectacular fireworks display over Coe Lake ends the event and attracts thousands of visitors from throughout the region.
Schedule of Events
11 Am-12 Pm - Parade
Different organizations, civic groups and businesses in our community will decorate their vehicles or floats, hand out candy and bring fun to Berea! Step off will be at 11 am from the Baldwin-Wallace University Bond Hall parking lot.
Noon-10 Pm - Festival At Coe Lake
Food vendors, paddle boat rides, face painting, costume characters, dunk tank fundraiser, inflatables, live music and more!
5-7 Pm - Cats On Holiday Band
Cats On Holiday is a Cleveland based Swamp Pop band that has been pleasing audiences for 20 years with their own special blend of Louisiana inspired rock/roots/Zydeco.
8-10 Pm - Clayton Brothers Band
The Clayton Brothers play "primitive rock" from the 1950s and '60s.
Dusk - Fireworks
A spectacular fireworks display over Coe Lake concludes the 4th of July celebration event. Show will begin at approximately 10 PM.
