HyperFest is a 3 day festival designed to bring together automotive enthusiasts from all walks of life to one common place... VIRginia International Raceway. We've been at this for over 20 years, so we like to think we know a thing or two about throwing a party. While we want everyone to enjoy HyperFest to the fullest, we do ask that you read the following to help make the most of yours and others' experiences at HyperFest.

Amped Electric Games:

Get excited for an all-electric show! Amped Electric Games performs amazing tricks and hosts super-fast races for everyone to see. If you're not familiar with Amped, they organize and broadcast personal electric vehicle events featuring Onewheels, electric skateboards, electric unicycles, and scooters from all over the country. They will be performing an electric unicycle show with some of the best riders in the world.  Imagine a bunch of professional electric unicycle riders racing around, showing off what they can do! It's not just about speed; it's about seeing the cool things these riders and electric vehicles can do. Join us at HyperFest to watch these awesome stunts and races. Don't miss out on this show featuring riders from Amped Electric Games!  Be sure to stop by their booth to register to win your own personal electric vehicle!

Burnout Contest:

Do you think you and your car have what it takes to be selected for the MOTUL Burnout Contest? Enter now for your chance to be selected to compete in one of the biggest events going down on Saturday at HyperFest!

The Motul Burnout Contest is your chance to show everyone how well you can kill tires and make smoke in our asphalt pit, the Thunderdome. Within the k-walled arena, you are able to do donuts, figure 8s, or opt for the crowd favorite with your front bumper up "On the Wall", as they like to chant! Enter for a chance to win $500 and other prizes in front of a huge crowd to prove that you have the best cloud-making machine on the East Coast.

Club Hyperfest:

As the sun sets and the track goes cold, the party grabs another gear! Join us in front of the gallery building Saturday night, immediately following the burnout contest, and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of Club HyperFest. Returning for it’s 5th year, Club HyperFest features DJs playing the best electronic music hits on a huge stage with state of the art production. Grab your crew and hit the dancefloor for the type of party that can only be found at HyperFest!

Drift Rides:

Ever wanted to experience drifting around a racetrack at high speeds? We thought so, that's exactly why we created Slide-Alongs, our version of drifting ride-alongs. At HyperFest, we give you the opportunity to not only go for a drifting ride, but sometimes alongside 2-3 other cars in tandem.

Hiscore Arcade:

HiScore is a completely FREE and fully immersive entertainment lounge featuring all your favorite racing games across many different gaming consoles. Grab your squad and join us in the Pavilion on Friday & Saturday during the festival! HiScore will run from 10AM-6PM each day. This event is for all ages!

Hyperdrives:

Maxxis HyperDRIVEs by Hawk Performance are our hugely popular introductory program for new drivers. Sanctioned by the National Auto Sport Association (NASA), HyperDRIVEs give you and your car an easy, safe, and affordable way to get on the track.

Karting:

The VIR Kart Track is a state-of the-art 5/8 mile, 24-foot-wide paved circuit. Their karts run ungoverned Honda GX 270cc motors capable of speeds in excess of 50 mph, making them some of the fastest speeds you’ll find for go-karts anywhere.

Kid Zone:

HyperFest attracts kids of all ages, however in the Kid Zone, kids rule the area and no adults are allowed.

A variety of inflatable attractions will be set up for kids to burn off any extra energy they might still have, guaranteed to keep them busy for a long time and give them smiles for hours.

Off Road Rides:

Are you ready for an off-road adventure but don't have a 4x4? No problem, we have instructors operating vehicles with room for up to 3 passengers at this year's Off Road Experience presented by Chaos Fab Shop.   Our friends from Chaos Fab Shop, Sarek Autowerke, WARN  and The Terrain Motorsports Company will be on-site and offering participants the opportunity to ride-along on a variety of courses and obstacles throughout VIRginia International Raceway's 1300-acre facility.

Chaos Fab Shop based out of Winchester, VA will be on-site at this year's HyperFest offering participants the opportunity to drive their own 4x4 vehicle on a variety of courses and obstacles throughout VIRginia International Raceway's 1300-acre facility, or ride along for an adrenaline pumping ride in one of Chaos Fab Shop, Sarek Autowerke or WARN’s purpose-build 4x4 vehicles.

Koni Downhill Attack By Jet-Hot:

Got an old Power Wheel collecting dust in your garage? Here’s your chance to repurpose it into track car. Don’t have one, no worries, there’s always a bunch on Craigslist for sale and if you want to go all out, you can always purchase a new one. The Koni Downhill Attack by Jet-Hot gives you the chance to race on the iconic VIRginia International Raceway just like the pros for a fraction of the cost (and the size).

Easily one of our most popular spectator activities in recent years, the Koni Downhill Attack by Jet-Hot is your chance to show your kids what their toy is made of. This is absolutely the cheapest way to experience the legendary "Roller Coaster" section of the 3.27-Mile Full Course at VIRginia International Raceway during this year's HyperFest.

Everyone who wants to get on track will get a chance. Only 50 lucky drivers will be able to compete for the Championship.  Don’t despair because ANY driver that registers will get at least one shot for immortal glory in the “All Race”. If you didn’t make the first 50 cut off, make sure you still register for the wait list.

If one of the first 50 registered drivers is unable to attend or doesn’t check in at the event, you may get called in to fill their spot. Make sure that if you want to drive, you follow all pre-event instructions received and that you physically check in at the HyperFest Information Booth on Saturday.

Race Track Rides:

Ever wanted to experience real speed on a real race track?  Don’t miss your chance to ride in some phenomenal cars with highly experienced drivers.  HyperFest is pleased to partner with Kaizen Autosport & Renegade Race Rentals to provide one of the most exciting activities you may ever get to experience!

This year's race track rides will be provided by Kaizen Autosport & Renegade Race Rentals, giving you the chance to choose which weapon you snag a ride in around the Full Course of VIR!

Rc World Presented By Hobbytown VA:

RC World by HobbyTown will be located in the Gallery at VIR.

OPERATING HOURS: Friday - 10AM-5PM, Saturday - 9AM-4PM and Sunday - 9AM - 12PM

Additional time will be available on-site for purchase each day, along with RC cars and accessories.

Spectator Games:

One of the few things that aren't car related at HyperFest are our spectator games. These games vary from year to year, however they are generally designed to be fun for the whole family.

Headlining the spectator games is the popular PRS Guitars Air Guitar contest where you can win an actual PRS Guitars for just being the best at pretending to play a guitar. No guitar experience necessary!
