Fort Southwest Point
1226 South Kentucky Street

This race was conceived to have fun, get active, and most importantly honor our veterans by helping raise money for Operation Enduring Warrior. A 501(c)(3) public charity, Operation Enduring Warrior (OEW) is a veteran-founded, volunteer lead, non-profit whose mission is to honor, empower, and motivate our nation’s wounded veterans through physical, mental, and emotional rehabilitation. OEW’s program helps participants overcome adversity and hardship through innovation, teamwork, and perseverance. This ultimately enables the lives of wounded veterans to go in directions they may have once thought were impossible.

THE RACE: Set on a 2 mile loop at Fort Southwest Point in Kingston, TN just outside of Knoxville, the HHOCR is a six hour event where teams and individuals see how many laps they can accomplish within that timeframe. For teams, two team members run the course at a time and tag in two more teammates as they cross the finish line. For the Ruck and Ultra solo divisions, athletes see how many laps they can accomplish within the six hour timeframe. The course consists of 20 to 30 man made and natural obstacles along varied terrain including mud, sand, grass, and water. There are two start waves for teams. “In it to win it” teams and “just want to have fun” teams. Prizes go to the top three Male and Female Ultra and Ruck individuals and the top two teams. Teams can be all male, all female or coed.
