This May, during Mental Health Awareness Month, join us for the Head & Heart 5K and Mindful Mile – a race that’s all about strengthening minds, bodies, and communities. Let’s come together to raise awareness, promote resilience, and take strides toward better mental health for all!
The Head & Heart 5K and Mindful Mile is a unique event held during Mental Health Awareness Month in May, combining physical activity with mental health advocacy. Hosted by and benefitting the Ozarks Counseling Center, it offers a timed 5K run/walk and a family-friendly Mindful Mile Walk, providing options for all fitness levels.
This event emphasizes the connection between physical and mental well-being through interactive mile markers featuring self-care tips, a guided mindfulness cool-down, and a Positive Mindset Wall for participants to share gratitude and wellness strategies. A Mental Health Champions Booth will also connect attendees with local resources.
By promoting healthy, active lifestyles and reducing stigma around mental health, this initiative creates a stronger, more resilient community. Funds raised support affordable counseling services, ensuring accessible care for underserved populations. Together, we can take strides toward healthier minds and bodies for all.
