This inaugural half marathon and marathon trail run explores the town and trails that make the scenic backdrop of Naples, NY. Starting with a romp through the vibrant downtown, runners then climb to explore the High-Tor Wildlife Management Area. This half marathon loop for has a great mix of good warm-up terrain, challenging climbs, and groovy downhills. This community driven event has generous aid stations and is great for runners and spectating families alike.
The Course
Beginning and ending at the Naples Community Park, the route starts on gentle terrain briefly entering High-Tor WMA before heading through downtown Naples . Running south down the vibrant Main Street, runners re-enter High Tor at the Digger and Aid Station #1 (mile 3). Runners then head up the Finger Lakes Trail for a long, challenging climb and descent before arriving at the Bassett Rd Aid Station (Aid #2). From Aid #2 at mile 7, runners face the second big climb of the day. towards the rim of Conklin Gully. This big climb rewards the runner with fun downhill sections all the way back to the finish.
This will be offered as a half marathon loop with an opportunity for an marathon distance doing an adjusted second lap.

6:30-7:45 AM - Packet pickup/check-in available at Naples Community Park for full marathon racers
Pre race informational briefing will occur immediately before full marathon race start.

4:00 PM Race course closes. (8hr cut-off for full marathon runners.)
