The 41st Annual Holiday Fair Fine Craft Show, to be held November 1 & 2, 2025, will feature a variety of artisans exhibiting and selling their work, including jewelry, glasswork, ceramics, mixed media, and decorative and wearable fiber creations. Patrons can stroll the campus and find artists throughout the historic Homestead, Chambers Studio, and the Corkran and Tubbs galleries to select the perfect gifts for family, friends and themselves.

Auction:

Take time to explore the event's online auction, which can be viewed in the DeWitt Gallery during the Holiday Fair or anytime online. Participating event artists have generously donated a piece of their artwork to be auctioned off, with the proceeds supporting RAL's exhibition and education programs. Raffle:

Charles W. Paul is a woodturning artist and owner, and creative force behind CWP Woodworking, a business that celebrates the artistry and craftsmanship of woodturning. A lifelong resident of Hagerstown, Maryland, Charles has pursued woodworking as a hobby throughout his life. Upon retiring, he turned his lifelong passion into a full-time endeavor by launching CWP Woodworking, where he now dedicates his time to creating beautiful, handcrafted pieces from locally sourced wood.

Charles Paul has generously donated one of his meticulously crafted, luminous woodturned lamps to help the Art League raise funds for its art programs. The shade is made of pine and the base is walnut. The piece is valued at $350.00.

Specializing in woodturning, Charles transforms raw, often discarded wood into stunning, functional works of art. He finds much of his material around Washington County, repurposing what might otherwise become mulch or firewood into finely crafted bowls, lamp bases, lamp shades, and more. His work is driven by a deep respect for the natural beauty of wood and a desire to give it a second life. In addition to turned pieces, Charles has also created custom furniture and an intricately built grandfather clock—each project a testament to his precision, creativity, and decades of hands-on experience. His craftsmanship blends utility with elegance, reflecting both the skill of a seasoned artisan and the eye of a dedicated artist. Through CWP Woodworking, Charles continues to share his love for the craft, offering unique, sustainable, and timeless pieces that bring warmth and artistry into homes across the region.

The Lamp is on view in the Corkran Gallery now through the Holiday Fair. The raffle winner will be drawn at 4:00pm on Sunday, November 2nd. Raffle tickets can be purchased online here or in person in the gallery. They are $5 each or five tickets for $20.
