Gil Scott-Heron Bluesology…Gia Scott-Heron daughter of the legendary writer, poet, rapper, jazz musician, singer and bluesologist Gil Scott-Heron and Poets Jazz House…a fierce band of spoken word artists are spittin’ fire and blazin’ stages with the powerful intensity of truth and messages from a visionary and the thought-provoking rhythms that made Civil Rights Activist Gil Scott-Heron a world renown influential artist, musician and icon.

Still prevalent today are the timeless and classic words of Gil Scott-Heron; considered the GODFATHER OF RAP because his music reflects the turbulence, uncertainty and increasing pessimism of the times, with a satirical edge told in the tradition of oral poetry and storytelling.

A Silent Auction…Take home a keepsake and valuable piece of history. Gia Scott-Heron, daughter of  legend will autograph historical and rare memorabilia created by the world renown Musician, Poet and Activist…Gil Scott-Heron.

The Ensemble Cast of Poets and Musicians include Gia Scott-Heron, Conney Williams, Lorenzo Frank, Clent Bowers, Yawo Watts, Art.Us Mansoir, The ORACLE and executive producer Tuesday Conner (Founder of ICCC2 & Poets Jazz House).  Directed by sisters Lynne and Tuesday Conner (International Award-Winning Producers and Filmmakers). Both are alumni of Inner City Cultural Center under the direction of C. Bernard Jackson.

Inner City Cultural Center II pays tribute to legends past and present on Tuesday nights as they document the history of Inner City Cultural Center for the future C. Bernard Jackson Library.
