Josiah Henson was an American hero, whose bravery and heroics and name were whitewashed and slandered. His life began being born into slavery, and it culminated with him having escaping slavery, escaping with his wife and children, to Canada. Despite writing an autobiography, starting a community, and returning to free nearly 200 using the Underground Railroad. Sadly, all that is known of him is the derogative term, “Uncle Tom.” Now his story, the truth of his incredible life’s journey, is told.
