The Holy Half Marathon is one of the largest student-organized events at the University of Notre Dame. 1,700 runners participate annually, coming from the Notre Dame, Saint Mary's College and Holy Cross College campuses, the South Bend community, and the Irish fanbase and alumni network nationwide.
The Holy Half has truly become one of the greatest traditions at the University of Notre Dame. Runners take pride not only in training for and completing a 13.1-mile race, but also in making a difference to the South Bend community on behalf of the University.

Here is a map of the 2025 course map including water stations indicated by the Ws. Please note that the 10K and 13.1 mile routes split briefly on DeBartolo quad. There are four water stations along the loop. A very limited number of portable restrooms will also be available in McGlinn Fields, which is in the southwest corner of the course. The race will start by heading west and then north, towards the lakes.
The course runs along the beautiful campus of the University of Notre Dame passing iconic attractions including the Golden Dome, Grotto, Touchdown Jesus, and campus lakes. There is a strict cap of 1,700 runners. The half is two laps and the 10k will be one. There are four water/gatorade stations throughout the course- 4 in total for the 10k, 8 for the half-marathon.
