Snowboarding, Culture and Community. East Street Archives Presents Homesick at Stratton

Stratton Mountain and East Street Archives join to celebrate the history, tradition and progression of a sport that got its start right here at Stratton, Vermont. Homesick is back for its third season on southern Vermont's highest peak from March 21-23, 2025. Three days of events with legends, pros, up-and-comers, and You. Sign up for one, sign up for them all, and send it all weekend with the best in class.

Spectate the on-snow events, peruse the Witness Photo Gallery, get nostalgic in the Vintage Board Room, learn what it means to stand sideways from the beginning with The Dawning Exhibit, ride demo snowboards, get your East Street Archives book signed by the biggest names in the game, and après with live music and legends of the sport.

OG Downhill

Before there was a halfpipe, slopestyle or rail jams... snowboard events were all downhill. Here's your chance to strap in like it's 1983 - the year Stratton first welcomed snowboarding. This dual slalom race includes gates, rollers, and lots of turns on both a red and blue course. Race your gear with a run on each course sending it sideways on your board just like the snowboard contest pioneers did when, and where, it all began years ago.

Event Schedule:

Course inspection, practice runs, and starting times, by division, to be posted prior to the OG Downhill.
Announcers and Technical Director will update schedules throughout the day based on weather and course conditions.
2 Runs. One on the Blue Course. One on the Red Course.
Best individual time is final score.
All Competitors must wear a helmet and a Homesick  Event Bib.

Location: Suntanner
