Why is it called Honest Abe? It is because Abraham Lincoln's birthday is February 12th and the race is held on... oh my, this wasn't planned well. It's an honest mistake, good thing we're a running club and not a history club.
An event which began back in 1978, the BCRR Winter Series includes 11 weekly races from December through February (weather permitting). You must register for an annual BCRR membership prior to registering for the entire series. Registration for membership and the Winter Series begins in the fall of each year.
You do not need to be a member to participate in single races during the series. Single event registration for non-members is available onsite on race day only.
