Join us September 8th for the inaugural Lexington Equine Medical Hunter Pace & 5k at the Park!
This fun-for-all event is an opportunity to ride or run over the hallowed ground of the Kentucky Horse Park, all to benefit a great cause - the Kentucky Horse Council! All funds raised from the event will be earmarked specifically to assist with KHC efforts in Eastern Kentucky.
Starting at 8:00AM, runners will run a 5K trail course with the opportunity to navigate the same obstacles as the horses on the hunter pace course.
At 11:00AM, the hunter pace will begin, with riders completing the course in one of 3 divisions - jumping, non-jumping and pleasure.
A variety of prizes are up for grabs for both riders and runners - including awards for best costume and best tailgate! Runners and riders will be able to purchase food from Toasties Gourmet and High Horizons Coffee Shop and Cafe food trucks; beverages from Maiden City Brewing Company and Country Boy Brewing will also be for sale.
