Kick off the July 4th holiday with a special historic tradition on the lawn of the Malden Public Library. All are invited to re-experience the events that led to Malden's early declaration of support for American Independence.
Local historian and period actor Tom Coots will present the 9th Annual Reading of the "Instructions of the Inhabitants of Malden, Massachusetts to their Representatives in Congress", a powerful document from May 27, 1776 that predated the Declaration of Independence.
Colonial dress is encouraged, and the original 1776 document will be on display inside the library for public viewing.
Join us for this meaningful and patriotic start to the holiday season.
Location: Malden Public Library Lawn.
