IBFM Summer Intensive

The International Ballet Festival of Miami, in collaboration with the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami, offers a Summer Intensive program from Monday, July 28 to Friday, August 15, 2025. This program emphasizes the classical Cuban methodology of ballet, providing students aged 12 to 17 with a comprehensive dance education. Participants can choose between a 2-week or a full 3-week session, with classes held five days a week, totaling up to 35 hours of instruction per week. The curriculum includes physical conditioning, ballet technique, variations, pointe, pas de deux, group choreography, contemporary, jazz, dance history, and stage makeup. During the second and third weeks, students have the unique opportunity to train alongside principal dancers and soloists from renowned ballet companies worldwide. Weekends offer the chance to attend the festival's international guest star galas. Auditions are open to intermediate to advanced level dancers within the specified age range.

International Young Medalists Performance

The festival extends invitations to young ballet medal winners from national and international ballet competitions for a special performance. This collaboration includes esteemed competitions such as the Miami International Ballet Competition, Universal Ballet Competition (USA), Concurso de Danza Mercosur, Latinoamerica Danza (Argentina), Danza Activa (Panama), and World Dance Award (Italy), among others.
