4th of July Parade to Celebrate 60 Years of Red, White and Kemah Blue

The City of Kemah is proud to announce this year’s Fourth of July Parade, themed “Red, White and Kemah Blue - Honoring our 60th Birthday.” This milestone event will take place on Friday, July 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. and promises a morning filled with small-town charm, patriotic pride, and community spirit.

This year’s parade will be led by Grand Marshals Sylvia Streater and Bill Kerber, two long-time residents whose dedication and service to Kemah have left a lasting impact on the community. Their leadership and hometown pride make them the perfect honorees for this special occasion.

Residents and visitors alike are invited to line the streets, cheer on festive floats, decorated golf carts and patriotic vehicles to enjoy a celebration that honors both our nation’s independence and Kemah’s six decades of growth and community.

The parade will begin at the City’s Bradford St. parking lot and travel up 6th St, through the Kemah Lighthouse District, concluding back at the parking lot via 7th St. Community groups, local businesses, and families are encouraged to participate with decorated vehicles, golf carts, bicycles, and walking groups decked out in patriotic colors and “Kemah Blue.”

“Independence Day is always special in Kemah, but this year’s celebration is especially meaningful as we reflect on six decades of Kemah’s growth, hospitality, and hometown pride,” said Mayor Robin Collins.
