Come celebrate the 4th of July with us! The Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce hosts the only public fireworks event on Lake Minnetonka. Join our community for a full day of activities, starting early in the morning and lasting well into the night.

Head to Commons Park in downtown Excelsior on the shores of Lake Minnetonka with your family and friends. The day kicks off with a Firecracker Run with food and activities all day and ends with a spectacular fireworks show. Don't miss this chance to enjoy Independence Day with your community by the lake!

7:30 AM: Excelsior Firecracker 1-Mile Start at Excelsior Elementary 

7:50 AM: Excelsior Firecracker 10k Start at Excelsior Elementary 

8 AM: Excelsior Firecracker 5k Start at Excelsior Elementary

8 AM - 1 PM: Free Face Painting by Fusion Face Painting

10 AM: Kid's Bike Parade begins gathering at Kowalski's in Excelsior. Hosted by Primrose School. 

11 AM: Kid's Bike Parade starts down Water Street, and ends in Excelsior Commons 

11 AM - 1 PM: Petting Zoo and DJ Dance Party in the Excelsior Commons

3 PM: Food Vendors open at Excelsior Commons

4 PM - 10 PM: Entertainment at Excelsior Bandshell

Dusk (approx. 9:50 PM): Fireworks at Excelsior Commons, launched in Excelsior Bay
