The Long Island Guitar Festival is an annual international festival with a thirty-year history of showcasing top performers and educators in the guitar world. The festival has established a continuing commitment to reach out to the artistic community and continue an established tradition of excellence in guitar performance and pedagogy. The 2005 festival will take place April 30th - May 4th. To date, scheduled performers include Raphaella Smits, Hao Yang, Jérémy Jouve, Kithara Duo, Mela Guitar Quartet, Harris Becker & Friends, James Erickson, Laura Lessard, and Nathan Park the winner of the 2024 LIGF High School Classical Guitar Competition.

Scheduled ensembles include the NJMEA HS Honors Guitar Orchestra, the New Jersey Guitar Orchestra, the New York City Guitar Orchestra and the James Madison HS Guitar Ensemble.The 2025 Guitar Festival is presented in partnership with the Setauket Presbyterian Church and the Oberon Foundation.
