What started as a tiny German harvest celebration back in 1994 has exploded into a 13,000-person party that would make any Bavarian proud. The festival brings together the unlikely combo of bratwurst and barbecue, polka bands and rockabilly, proving that German-american fusion isn't just about the food - it's about having a darn good time.

Thanks to some passionate locals and a generous gift of equipment from the Washington Saengerbund (america's oldest German singing society), the festival now boasts authentic German bands, traditional folk dancers, and enough wursts to feed an army. When the beer master shouts "O zapft's!" and taps that first keg, this little Virginia town transforms into a slice of Munich - just with better weather and Southern hospitality to boot.

The Town of Lovettsville and Fitness Image Results are proud to host the 3rd Annual Oktoberfest 5k and Kids Fun Run at the Lovettsville Community Park! This event is an excellent way to start your Oktoberfest Day here in Lovettsville.

Our Family-Friendly and Pet-Friendly run will begin and finish in the New Lovettsville Park and take you through this 90-acre park on beautiful equestrian trails that will provide gorgeous views and plenty of space to do your best! Kids will also be able to get involved in their own 1K Fun Run and share in the action.

What a great way to start a fun-filled and action-packed day in the small and quaint Town of Lovettsville!
